Team building games for work

Plan a team session in two minutes and play it in your next meeting. Everyone opens one link in Teams, Zoom or Google Meet and plays in the browser, on their own screen. The games explain the rules, run the timer and keep the score, so you have nothing to prepare.

Free to try: nine games are free. Premium games come with one pass for the whole team: $299 for 7 days or $499 for 12 months.

What a 15, 30 or 60-minute session looks like

Every session starts the same way: you paste one link in the meeting chat and people join in their browser. Then pick the length that fits your agenda.

  1. 15 min

At the end of a team meeting

A quick Type Racer race to warm up, then one round of Who Said That? or Two Truths, One Lie. Good for a weekly team meeting or a new colleague’s first week.

  2. 30 min

    A team social

Warm up with Scribble, play Trivia for the whole team, and finish with Top Answers, team against team. The planner opens with this session.

  3. 60 min

    A team building session

Five minutes to join, then Who Said That? to get people talking (10 min), Mini Escape in small teams (20 min), Top Answers team against team (15 min) and a Trivia final (10 min).

How it works in Teams, Zoom or Google Meet

  • Open a game and copy the link

Pick a game and press Start. You get a lobby with its own link. There is nothing to download or install.

  • Paste the link in the meeting chat

Everyone opens it in a browser tab next to the call, on a laptop or a phone, and types a name.

  • Keep talking on the call

The call stays open for talking and laughing. Everyone sees the game on their own screen, so you don’t need to share yours.

  • Let the game run it

The game explains the rules, runs the timer and keeps the score. You play too.

Pick by the size of your team

  • Up to 10 people

Spy Words for two teams, and Two Truths, One Lie or Who Said That? to get to know each other.

  • 10 to 40 people

Scribble, Trivia and Top Answers. Mini Escape takes up to 40 players in up to 5 teams.

  • 40 to 200 people

Games where everyone plays at once: Trivia and Top Answers take up to 100 players, Type Racer up to 200.

  • More than 200 people

Open one lobby per team or breakout room and post each link in its room. Then compare the winners at the end.

What it costs

You can try it for free. You pay only for the premium games, and one pass covers the whole team, not each person.

  • Free to try

Scribble, Spy Words, Two Truths, One Lie, Type Racer and five more games are free. You don’t need a card.

  • Team Event Pass: $299

Every game for one team event: up to 200 players for 7 days. One payment.

  • Team Year Pass: $499

Every game for 12 months, for up to 200 players in each lobby you host. No subscription.

  • Your team doesn’t pay

Only the host buys a pass. Everyone who joins your lobby plays every game with you.

Tips for a team session people enjoy

  • Put it in the calendar

Send the invite a few days before, so people keep the time free and know what to expect.

  • Start small

Fifteen minutes at the end of a team meeting is a good first try. Plan a longer session when the team asks for more.

  • Mix the games

Start with an easy game that everyone understands at once, then a team game, then a short final round.

  • Play the first round

As the host, play the first round with a real answer. It sets the tone better than any instructions.

Questions

What are good team building games for work?

Games the whole team plays at the same time, with nothing to prepare: Trivia, Top Answers, Mini Escape, Scribble, Spy Words and Two Truths, One Lie. Each one takes 5 to 20 minutes.

How long should a team building session be?

For most teams, 15 to 30 minutes in a team meeting works well. For a bigger team event, plan 60 minutes with three or four games.

Can I plan it now and play it later?

Yes. In the planner, pick your team size and how long you have, then add the plan to your calendar or copy it into the meeting invite. On the day, press Start and paste the lobby link in the meeting chat.

Does it work in Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet?

Yes. Paste the lobby link in the meeting chat. Everyone plays in a browser tab next to the call, on a laptop or a phone. There is no app to install and nothing for IT to approve.

How many people can play?

From 2 to 200, depending on the game. Spy Words takes up to 10 players, Trivia and Top Answers up to 100, and Type Racer up to 200. Each card shows the range.

How much does it cost?

You can try it for free: Scribble, Spy Words, Two Truths, One Lie, Type Racer and five more games are free. The $299 Team Event Pass adds every game for one event (7 days), and the $499 Team Year Pass for 12 months, for up to 200 players. Only the host pays.

Are these virtual team building games?

Yes. They are online games: remote teams play from home during a video call, and people in the office play on their laptops or phones. A hybrid team plays in the same lobby.

Do players need an account?

No. The host signs in and shares the link; everyone else picks a name and plays.
