A Gartic Phone alternative for work

Cosel is the telephone drawing game you know from Gartic Phone, made for playing with coworkers. Everyone writes a phrase, the chains pass around the team, drawn and guessed in turn, and the reveal plays back every chain from phrase to madness. A private link, no ads, and it’s free.

Cosel, Scribble, Fake Artist and Codenames are free to play. Players join from the link without an account.

How a round of Cosel goes

  1. Step 1

    Write

Everyone writes a short phrase. Team in-jokes and “Monday morning coffee” both work.

  2. Step 2

    Draw, guess, repeat

Each chain passes to the next person, who draws the phrase. The next one guesses the drawing, and so on around the team.

  3. Step 3

    The reveal

Watch every chain from the first phrase to the last guess, one step at a time. This is where the laughs are.

Gartic Phone and Cosel

Tips for a great round at work

  • Keep the group to 4 to 12

That’s Cosel’s range. With more people, open two lobbies or play Fake Artist, which takes up to 200.

  • Give it 15 minutes

A round takes 10 to 20 minutes: a good fit for the end of a team meeting or a Friday social.

  • Phones work

People can draw with a finger on their phone while the call stays on their laptop.

  • Share the best chain

Screenshot the reveal for the team chat. The best chains get quoted for weeks.

Questions

Is there a free Gartic Phone alternative for work?

Yes: Cosel on TeamBridge is free to play, without ads. The host shares a private lobby link and everyone plays in the browser.

Is Gartic Phone safe for work?

In Gartic Phone, players write the prompts, so it’s as work-friendly as your group, and the site shows ads. Cosel works the same way in a private lobby for your team, without ads.

How many people can play Cosel?

From 4 to 12 players in one lobby. For a bigger group, open more than one lobby, or play Fake Artist or Scribble, which take up to 200 and 100 players.

Do players need an account?

No. The host signs in and shares the link; everyone else picks a name and plays on a laptop or phone.

Does it work in Microsoft Teams and Zoom?

Yes. Paste the link in the meeting chat; the game runs in a browser tab next to the call, so nobody has to share their screen.

Ready for your next team social?
