Holiday icebreakers for work

Holiday icebreakers your team plays together in the meeting, instead of a round of “what are your plans for the break?”. Share one link, everyone joins in the browser, and the game asks the holiday questions, runs the timer and shows the results.

People Bingo and the other holiday icebreakers are included with a TeamBridge pass: $299 for 7 days or $499 for 12 months, for up to 200 players. Two Truths, One Lie and eight more games are free.

Holiday icebreaker questions the games ask

  • People Bingo: find the teammate who…

Decorates before December · Has done a secret gift swap · Has re-gifted a present · Has spent the holidays somewhere hot · Can fold a paper snowflake (45 holiday facts).

  • Top Answers: name something…

People buy for a Secret Santa on a tight budget · That goes wrong when putting up decorations · People forget to do before the winter break (30 holiday prompts).

  • Hot Seat and Who Said That?

Holiday season prompts about food, traditions and plans, answered anonymously or ranked by the person in the hot seat.

  • Your own questions

Who Said That? and Top Answers also take your own prompts, so you can ask about your team’s year.

Pick by your team

  • Quiet team or cameras off

Who Said That?: answers are typed and anonymous until the reveal, so nobody is put on the spot.

  • A big call (30+ people)

People Bingo and Top Answers take up to 100 players, and everyone plays at once.

  • A team that knows each other well

Hot Seat: one person secretly ranks five things and the team guesses the order.

  • Not everyone celebrates

The holiday packs are about winter, food and time off as much as any one holiday, and every game has year-round packs too.

How to run a holiday icebreaker that doesn’t feel forced

  • Keep it short

Ten minutes at the start of the meeting is enough. Put it on the agenda so people know it’s coming.

  • Go first

Play the first round with a real answer. It sets the tone better than any instructions.

  • Let the game ask

Questions from the game feel lighter than a manager asking about holiday plans.

  • Plan the week

Most teams hold their holiday call in the two weeks before the break; in 2026, the last Friday before Christmas is Friday, December 18.
