See it in action

  • Twelve notes into a classical tune: Lena named it after 5 notes and Daniel after 8, while “Greensleeves” and “Ode to Joy” are wrong guesses
  • The reveal: it was Vivaldi’s “Spring”. Priya got it first after 5 notes, and the sing-along plays the whole phrase
  • Playing on a phone: the note row lights up as the tune plays, with who got it and the wrong guesses below

How to play Melody Match in 3 steps

  1. A tune plays a few notes at a time: 3, then 5, 8, 12, then the whole thing.

  2. Race to type the title. The sooner you name it, the more you score.

  3. Every few rounds, finish the missing words of a lyric instead.

Why it works for teams

Everyone hears the same note at the same moment on the call, so the race is fair. "I got it in 3 notes!" is the bragging right, and the sing-along at each reveal does the rest.
