Free games and credits, explained
Every new player gets 5 free credits. A credit is one game of any of the 9 free games, with no time limit and no card needed.
The 9 free games: Cosel, Starts With J, Fake Artist, Scribble, Spy Words, Two Truths, One Lie, Type Racer, Hot Seat and Emoji Clues. The other 29 games need a pass.
How credits work
1 credit = 1 game
Starting a free game uses 1 credit. If the game ends within a minute, the host gets the credit back, so a false start costs nothing.
Everyone uses their own
When a game starts, every player who still has credits uses one, not only the host. Players with 0 credits can still join and play.
The host needs 1 credit
To start a free game the host needs at least 1 credit, and the game needs 2 or more people in the lobby.
1 back after 6 days
At 0 credits you get 1 credit back 6 days later. Credits don’t refill every week, and they aren’t sold.

Questions
What does 1 credit get you?
One free game, from start to finish. Credits have no time limit.
Do free credits refresh every week?
No. You start with 5. When you reach 0, 1 credit comes back 6 days later.
Why did I lose a credit without hosting?
Joining someone else’s game uses one of your credits too, if you have any left. Players with 0 credits can still play.
Can I buy more credits?
No. Credits are for trying the free games. For more games, or the premium ones, a pass covers every game for everyone in your lobbies: $299 for 7 days or $499 for 12 months.
Can I play the premium games for free?
No. A premium game starts only when the host has a pass, or is on the team of someone who has one. Players never need a pass.
How many people can play on free credits?
As many as the game takes: Fake Artist and Type Racer take up to 200 people, Scribble up to 100. The host needs 1 credit to start; the players don’t need any.
Which games are free?
Cosel, Starts With J, Fake Artist, Scribble, Spy Words, Two Truths, One Lie, Type Racer, Hot Seat and Emoji Clues. On the games page, every other game carries a Premium badge.
